Smart Tariff

Accuracy and fairness

How we check EDF smart tariff prices

Clear rules help us compare EDF smart-tariff rates, times and estimated costs without making misleading claims.

Choosing smart tariffs

We focus on EDF smart electricity tariffs, including time-of-use, EV, tracker and heat-pump offers. Current offers are shown separately from previous versions. Availability can vary by address, meter and eligibility, so EDF should confirm the final offer.

Understanding prices

We distinguish tariffs with one all-day price from Economy 7 and time-of-use tariffs. Fixed prices, variable prices and prices that can change daily are also labelled separately.

Payment methods

Direct Debit, standard credit and prepayment prices are kept separate because their rates and price-cap limits can differ.

Economy 7

Day and night prices remain separate. We do not estimate a yearly cost unless both parts of a household’s electricity use are known.

Price history

Each smart tariff version keeps its own price history. We do not combine successive deals into one continuous line.

Missing information

If a price or tariff detail cannot be checked reliably, the site says it is unavailable and does not replace it with a guess.
