Time-of-use guide
EDF off-peak times
There is no single EDF off-peak time. The applicable hours depend on the tariff and, for Economy 7, the meter arrangement.
| Tariff | Published window | Type and caveat |
|---|---|---|
| FreePhase Dynamic | Green 11pm–6am; Amber 6am–4pm and 7pm–11pm | Daily-priced fixed schedule. The clock schedule is fixed, but unit prices may change daily. Check the published price before moving a large load. |
| FreePhase Static | Green 11pm–6am; Amber 6am–4pm and 7pm–11pm | Fixed-price schedule. Unit rates stay fixed for the plan term, but the 4pm–7pm Red period remains the peak band. |
| GoElectric | 11pm–6am | Defined overnight window. EDF describes seven cheaper whole-home hours. Optional managed charging may add separate slots or credits. |
| Pod Point Plug & Power | 11pm–6am | Defined overnight window. The tariff is linked to a charger package; installation, finance and eligibility are separate from electricity pricing. |
| Heat Pump Tracker | 4am–7am and 1pm–4pm | Defined discounted windows. Prices are reviewed periodically and eligibility depends on the heating and meter setup. |
| Economy 7 | Meter and region specific | Dual-register night period. Do not assume one national seven-hour clock. Confirm the actual register switching times. |
UK local time
Clock times on this page are UK local time. British Summer Time changes the corresponding UTC instant; timers and integrations should use timezone-aware dates rather than applying one fixed UTC offset all year.
